Lý Thuyết So Sánh Trong Tiếng Anh
Khi so sánh 2 sự vật, hiện tượng, cá thể… với nhau, chúng ta có thể sử dụng các dạng so sánh sau:
| Dạng | Cấu trúc | Ví dụ |
| So sánh ngang bằng | Với tính từ, trạng từ: S + V + as + adj/adv + as + N/Pronoun/Clause Với danh từ: S + V + the same + (N) + as + N (Pronouns) S + V + as + many/much/little/few + noun + as + noun/pronoun | She runs as quickly as her brother. He is as tall as I [am] Nam earns as much money as his wife. |
| So sánh hơn/kém | Đối với những tính từ/ trạng từ ngắn: S + to be/V + adj/adv + er + than + Noun/ Pronoun Đối với những tính từ/ trạng từ dài: S + to be/V + more/less + adj/ adv + than + Noun/Pronoun | Mr Brown is older than Mr Peter. She is more beautiful than her friend. |
| So sánh hơn nhất / kém nhất | So sánh hơn nhất: Đối với những tính từ ngắn: S + V + the + adj+ EST Đối với những tính từ dài: S + V + the MOST + adj So sánh kém nhất: S + V + the least + Tính từ/Trạng từ + Noun/ Pronoun/ Clause | She is the tallest in the class. She is the most beautiful girl in the class. Her ideas were the least practical suggestions. |
| So sánh kép | Phổ biến: Cấu trúc 1: The + comparative + S + V + the + comparative + S + V Cấu trúc 2: The more + S + V + the + comparative + S + V | The older he gets, the weaker he is. The more you study, the smarter you will become. |
