Cách Làm Bài Đọc Hiểu Tiếng Anh Lớp 7
Bước 1 – Đọc lướt
- Bạn sử dụng kỹ năng đọc lướt, đọc trước tiêu đề (nếu có), “skimming” (lướt) một lượt văn bản, nhất là đoạn mở đầu và đoạn kết bài, xác định một số từ khóa để đoán biết được nội dung chính của bài.
Bước 2 – Xử lý các câu hỏi trong bài
- Câu hỏi về thông tin tổng quát như nội dung chính của văn bản (the main idea, the topic, the subject, the main point of the author,…) nên được trả lời cuối cùng bởi sau khi làm các câu hỏi khác, bạn đã nắm được rõ hơn về nội dung bài.
- Đối với các câu hỏi về từ vựng (điền từ, tìm từ đồng nghĩa, trái nghĩa,…) kiểm tra vốn từ vựng và khả năng suy đoán của bạn. Bạn nên đọc kỹ câu văn có chứa từ đó và dùng vốn từ vựng, khả năng loại trừ, suy đoán của bạn để ghép vào câu văn sao cho thích hợp.
- Với dạng câu hỏi liên hệ từ vựng (What does the word “It/ they/ them/ this/ those/…” in line ” – ” refer to?) thì bạn cần đọc câu ngay trước câu có từ in đậm để tìm câu trả lời.
- Với các câu hỏi yêu cầu thông tin chi tiết trong bài đọc, bạn cần sử dụng kỹ năng đọc quét (scanning) để tìm ra đoạn thông tin chứa câu hỏi và chọn đáp án phù hợp.

Visit the Edinburgh Festival
Every year, thousands of people come to Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland, to be part of the Edinburgh Festival. For three weeks every August and September the city is filled with actors and artists from all over the world. They come to Edinburgh for the biggest arts festival in Britain. During this time, the streets of the city are alive with music and dance from early in the morning untill late at night. You can even see artists painting pictures on the streets.
Tens of thousands of tourists come to the festival to see new films and plays and to hear music played by famous musicians. This year, you can see over five hundred performances with actors from more than forty countries.
The tickets for these performances are quite cheap, and it is usually easier to see your favorite star in Edinburgh than it is in London. So come to Edinburgh next summer!

The Shichi-go-san Festival
Shichi-go-san is a Japanese festival. The Japanese celebrate it on 15 November every year. This is because people believe it is a day of good luck for all Japanese people.
Shichi-go-san means “seven-five-three” and the festival is for children who are seven, five and three. The Japanese think these ages are very important years. Japanese parents celebrate Shichi-go-san as their boys turn three and five and their girls turn three and seven.
At the age of seven, a girl wears obi – the piece of cloth worn round the waist over the kimono – for the first time. At the age of five, a boy wears his first hakama pants – the pants that Samurai wore in the past – in public. The age of three is important for the Japanese too.They think it is time children can let their hair grow.
On this day, children often dress up like the adults in the ancient times and pretend to be grown up themselves.
